A student of the Tarot said 3/Swords is like, "the harsh, hard light of truth piercing an emotional fantasy." I never forgot that beautiful interpretation of 3/Swords. 3/swords indicates heartbreak, betrayal, loss, loneliness. 3/Swords often appears when we desperately need to see the truth about a relationship. This includes any relationship: romantic love, friendship, career, family and so on. Sometimes we are so blinded by attachment and our perception of love that we ignore all the signs that tell us that we are in a relationship that is not right for us, it is not working.
3/Swords is a hard, hard truth but I believe that this card is one of the greatest gifts of Tarot. This card is finally, hearing the truth; the time of wondering and hoping and obsessing and crying out about your unmet needs are over. You get a new beginning, and if you learned your lesson from 3/Swords that new beginning will be so much happier and joyous.
1. I have been betrayed by another person in the past, these were the signs I chose to ignore...
2. Staying in a relationship that wasn't working hurt me in the following ways...
3. It took this to finally leave it, but once I did...
3. After I left that bad relationship, these are the following beautiful things that entered my life...
