November Tarot 'Scopes 2016

Happy November, fam!

I pulled so many dark cards for this tarotscope that I was hesitant. I wanted to reshuffle, I wanted to pull my punch to make you happy, and safe, and secure and comfortable with whatever it is the Universe and you are creating.

But, if I did that, I would have no right to call myself an Oracle. Sometimes, I feel tremendous pressure to create a happy image because many people who experience anxiety turn to tarot as a source of comfort. But the role of tarot is not to become an anxiety alleviating tool. The role of tarot is to clarify an issue that is hidden--especially if our ego is hiding it. 

This is the (trust me) very hard work of a messenger. As a Gemini, I am ruled by Hermes, the Messenger, and I take my role seriously, my vows to Him are sacred. So because of that many of you will have a dark tarotscope this month. I have to trust the message is for your greatest good, do you trust that, too?

Scorpio--8 of Swords

Happy birthday, Scorpio!

This month, I pulled the 8 of Swords for you. Here is what I have to say; 

You are not seeing a situation clearly, your head is getting in your way. Your fears, anxiety, and fantasy building are creating shadows. There is something you need to do that you have been avoiding for some time.

Can you pull the bandages from your eyes and see clearly? Your own nightmares are limiting you, but once the bandage is off, trust me, the light is so much better. 

It's not them, its you. Once you can accept this, you will feel so much better, and  clear path for action will emerge.

Sagittarius--10 of Swords

The 10 of Swords can be a dire card. It suggests something being irreparable. It is bottom.

In your life there is something that is on its way to finally breaking. Perhaps that is your car, a relationship, your knee needing to be replaced; whatever it is there is relief in knowing that the fight is over. So much energy goes into trying to keep something going. So much peace can come from giving up the fight.

There is also a weird type of relief knowing that it is finally over, and you can start again. Now, I know many people fear this card, but I am sanguine about it. Attend to your ego, calm her fears and come up with a plan. Something is over soon, raise the white flag and let Spirit in to do the work.

Capricorn--3 of Swords

There is a personal relationship: lover, friend, child, neighbor, that is going to change. Perhaps they break your trust, maybe they act with disloyalty, maybe they don't live up to the standards you wanted for them.

Whatever it is that occurs, this month is less about them and more about you tending to your hurting heart. Withdraw if you need to, make your hurts known but see clearly the truth that is piercing your heart. This is such a powerful opportunity to radically alter your relationship to relationships. Feel the pain that comes with knowledge.

The only promises we can really rely on are those we make to ourselves, and even then, those are circumspect. Check your assumptions at this time.

Aquarius--Page of Swords

This month, you might find yourself learning a new hobby, skill or studying up on an area of interest. Your mind will be sharp, your focus keen as you learn some subject that enthralls you.

Aquarians love learning new things; especially things they can apply to make the world a but better. Aquarians also feel most at home when they are tackling a new creative project, or teaching others about a skill they know well.

Pisces--The Moon

When the Moon appears in the reading, it can be one of the most frustrating cards for people looking for clarity. I often think of this card as an 'ask again later' function. The Moon occludes, shifts, confuses what was clear. It is the card of mystery and shrouds things in mystery; you may not know yet and no, you don't get to know why that is.

With the Moon over you, my suggestion is to sit back and relax while attending to any anxiety that comes from feeling like you don't know. Because you will not know, not this month, anyway.

If you are waiting for a job, a promotion, for her to say yes, now is not the time to push for any kind of resolution. This is a period of waiting, and accepting what is. The journey right now is more important than the destination, may it go easy, friend.

Aries--Judgement

Judgement, I really love the message of this card! You are about to awaken into a new type of consciousness, a new chapter, a new way of being in the world.

I often feel that God is listening closely for those ruled by Judgement. Are you passing the tests you need to pass right now? Are you doing right by yourself and others? Karmically, are you laying down good energy that is for the good of all?

Judgement is not only about your own attainment, but also about the good you are imparting to others are you move into a new life for yourself. Are you doing it right? Because you are so close to getting exactly what it is you deserve.

Taurus--6 of Wands

6 of Wands is a lovely gentle card, Taurus! It is the card of success! Looking for a new job? Met someone new in your life? Play the lotto? This card denotes happy lucky energy about you this month. Things work in your favor: Rockstar parking, finding $5 on the ground, your boss telling you how mighty fine you are, success energy is lovely and fun!

The best part of this card is not only the success, but the recognition you will receieve from your efforts. People you care about will see what you are putting into your life and comment on it.

Gemini--4 of Cups

November heralds a deeply introspective time for you. Now may not be the time to make any decisions just yet but now is the time to contemplate some aspect of your life that feels tricky and complicated.

Now, Gemini, I know full well that you like to make a decision because too much intellectual ambiguity makes for an anxious twin, but, you are being asked to use that noggin for deep work--look at all the angles. Listen attentively. See the truth in front of you. Look, listen, think, reevaluate. This is your task this month.

Maya Angelou said once that, "When people show you who they are, believe them." Closely watch what is uncertain right now, but do not act.

Cancer--The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man is a period of being laid up for awhile, and that laying concerns your overall health and well being. I see this card often when someone needs to recover from an illness or injury. This card is the cast, the bed rest, the bandage on the eye. And while you might get bored, restless, anxious, ready to move; well, you are not ready yet.

You need to heal, or other factors need to move into position before you can play your hand. 

As much as you want to move forward or take action, you cannot just right now. The message from the Universe is to hang tight because bigger better things need to unfold before you move on.

Leo--Queen of Cups

Queen of Cups' arrival heralds a loving, familial, supportive environment that you create this month. Are you hosting Thanksgiving? Are you cozying up readying yourself for the inward life of winter? 

Attend to parents and children right now. Treat your lover or partner with care and nurturing. You are being asked to deeply care for others in the most fundamental ways; your emotional health is tied to the psychological fitness of others. You are being called to serve in ths capacity this month.

Send a card, have flowers delivered, put a note in a lunch box. Tell others how important they are to you, what they mean to you, how amazing they are. This, my Leo, is loving service.

Virgo--The Magician

Whatcha doing, Virgo? Do you have some plans this month that you are trying to set into motion? The Magician's energy over you this month lends an extra oomph to your projects, ideas, and conquests this month.

The Magician particularly focuses its message on the moment where something is just in your head, to making it real, putting it firmly in the world that other people can also see, touch, and feel.

I love the youthful, vibrant, happy energy of Pages and this is no exception. This Page of Cups appearing in your tarotscope for November augers a time of being the voice of love.

Let your sweetness flow to others; help an old lady across the street. Bring in breakfast for your coworkers, and think about how to spread joy and love in random acts of kindness. This political season has been brutal and there are a lot of hurt feelings out there.

Do your part to make it better, one person at a time. And watch how the love you put out there comes back to you in greater reciprocity. Librans are so good at soothing hurt feelings, you are being called to bring your particular skill set to the greater good.
