Happy birthday to my Taurus friends!

May looks largely gentle, minor arcana take center stage and for the most part, we see cups (the suit of relationships and emotions) take precedence.  There is an emphasis on family in particular this month throughout the signs. There are few court cards, suggesting that the energy of this month is more outward focused--practical details and things rather than inner work, and focusing on connection rather than personalities.

I've noticed over the years that May and June do tend to be quieter when it comes to tarot'scopes, may it be a quiet, enjoyable month for you as well!

May brings you messages of love. Pages often mean messengers and the cups concern themselves with loving relationships. This month, there may be an uptick in the texting you are doing with a loved one, or a new love might come from an unexpected source. This card is absolutely my online dating card, so update (or create) a profile.

You can also be the one to initiate messages of love, who do you need to reach out to and what would you like to tell them? Are there people in your life who need to hear the words, I love you? Sure, they already know but we like to hear it anyway. Come on Gemini, communication is your thing, Mercury just went direct, and you have a whole lotta love to give.

The Fool's arrival often heralds a new beginning of some sort. New hobbies, new travel, new jobs--especially if those new things are completely out of your element--are on deck in May for you.

Leo--5 of Cups

May will bring you some pain, Leo, and I am sorry for it. 5 of Cups often signify the mourning you undergo when you are processing the loss of something. 

The loss could be relationship, a friendship, a job, a person or pet but the emphasis is on you accepting what is and focusing on the tunnel of sadness and disappointment before you get to the other side. You probably already know what I am referring to, unable or unwilling to give it up or feel the loss but it is coming whether you like it or not.

I truly do not mean to sound harsh, but the energy here is about accepting what is, and to allow yourself to feel less than positively wonderful emotions. We hurt ourselves so much when we deny or avoid unpleasant emotions. Open the door and let the storm in, it can only pass through your house.

This is temporary of course, but if you find yourself fighting fatigue, there is a really good reason why!
