Hi Jenna,

A few months ago I joined a side business that has endless earning potential and could allow me to quit my 9-5 job over time. Am I pursuing the right path?

I slightly reworded the question to focus on what I think is exactly what you want to know, “Will this side business eventually match (or exceed) the income I am making now?” I pulled Ace of Pentacles, The Hermit, and the Magician.


The answer is a strong yes, but with conditions. I am not sure if you are hooked into a side business where you are an agent and you are working under others, my guess is that you are, because the cards are very much emphasizing that you will make the money you get at your 9-5 if you eventually go it alone.

 
 The Hermit and the Magician emphasize the path of the independent entrepreneur so I would suggest that if you are working under others always have the path of breaking out on your own in mind that will be the ticket for you.

As a person who is transitioning (moving house, looking into second career options, raising a family), how can I create and keep the peace in my life and not be thrown off by hyper focusing on one thing (as that's what I tend to do)?

 I slightly reworded your question to be, “How can I better maintain equilibrium in a chaotic time?” Here is what I drew for you: 3 of Cups, King of Swords, and Page of Swords.

The three cards themselves here are quite an equilibrium and they suggest that you find time to seek out playfulness, venting with friends. and joy. The King tells you to meet any intellectual challenge head-on and do not avoid complex topics because that will make the harried feel, worse.

Lastly the page is emphasizing communication; make sure you are talking to those about how you feel, do not bottle things in until it comes busting forth! Make a plan, be consistent, make time for fun, and see it all as an intellectual enterprise, good luck with everything!

Thinking about your question I pulled three cards and they were: 10 of Wands, 4 of Wands, and 2 of Cups. Besides the answer being you should hire me as your business coach, the answer is very simple; the harder you work the more successful you will be.

You will have to work far outside of your comfort zone but the business itself looks like a good fit and people like you, it is consistency and follow through that is the key for you.
