Dear Jenna ~ Mid September 2014
Back into the swing of things, we are busy bees! As the leaves change color and festivals, school events, conferences, and projects all hit at once it makes for a very busy and productive time. No matter how busy we get, however, there is always time for a good Tarot reading! If you have a question you would like me to answer here in this column, please email me at: [email protected]. Column submissions will be displayed by first name only (or anonymous, if you prefer). Only those whose queries are used in the publication will be contacted regarding their submissions. Querent #1 Jason “Dear Jenna, I seem to always have a lot of bad luck in my life. Will this ever change?” Dear Jason, I pulled 3 cards for you and they were: The Magician reversed, 6 of Swords, and 6 of Wands. The Magician reversed tells me that you have not been feeling like yourself for quite a while. You have either a relationship, job, or project of which you cannot let go, and it is dragging you down. This is the main reason why you feel like your luck will not turn, because this thing is affecting everything else. The 6 of Swords is a card of leaving something behind that will be painful but knowing that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. This is because the 6 of Wands indicates success. As soon as you leave what is not working for you, everything will begin to shift. Submission #2 Sarah “Dear Jenna, Currently I am single. Will someone new show up in my life? Dear Sarah, I pulled the following cards regarding your question and I got: 3 of Pentacles reversed, 5 of Pentacles, and finally Ace of Cups. The 3 and 5 may suggest that you are working a lot of hours to get out of a financial hole or to repay debts and all the long hours you put into work means fewer hours out and about meeting new interesting people. It feels like you might have a financial goal you are trying to reach and once you do, you will be able to focus on your relationships. So, I would say, “Yes.” The Ace of Cups is literally the cup of love in Tarot land, so it is possible you will find someone once you make the time to be available. Querent #3 Monica “Dear Jenna, I am 9 months pregnant and my husband is currently working overseas. Will he make it in time to be here when I deliver the baby?” Dear Monica, I pulled these three cards concerning your query: 5 of Cups, Strength, and King of Pentacles. From this run, it suggests that either way it will be a very close call. He will either JUST make the delivery, literally running in while you are in labor, or he will have just missed the actual delivery but will be at your side very soon after, within a day. The good news is that the Strength card suggests that you have what it takes to deliver your child with or without him. However, be mindful of your own personal disappointment if he does not arrive in time, because it will only make things harder. At the end of the day, he will be home in time to kiss his newborn even if he is not there for the actual delivery. Congratulations on your new addition! Have a question you would like me to answer?
