As we head closer to the equidistant day/night balance (September 24th, 2014), I am increasingly self-aware about the areas of my life that are out of balance. I am particularly aware of the things that I want to do/learn/give away/create as 2014 comes to a close. Perhaps because so many of us grew up with the month of September signifying the start of school mode, as adults we are thinking about what to focus on or revise or learn as we to get ever closer to the model ideal of being in a dynamic balanced state. Strength-- Body/Mind Balance Justice-- Social Contracts and Fairness in Relationships Temperance-- Spiritual Balance 2 of Wands-- Creating Space/Time to Learn and Play 2 of Cups--Balance in Intimate Relationships 2 of Swords--Destructive Impasses/Stasis 2 of Pentacles--Budgeting, Planning, Work-Home Balance And when we are out of balance in these areas they cause disharmony and even disease. Using the equinox as reminders to bring ourselves back into alignment is a great habit to get into.
