Scorpio-10/Wands This month will bring challenges that will batter your boundaries. Requests, needs, and urgent issues will crop up; taxing your ability to manage them all. Feeling overwhelmed but determined, you try to pick up every faltering piece. Sometimes it pours and November is the month where things needing your attention, your time, and your expertise will be stretched to the limit. But, you will not break. You will deal with these demands with the normal grace of a Scorpio; you can hold the line until things shift, and they will, possibly in December.
You may feel a growing anger at all the social injustice in the world. Things that perhaps a few months ago you were not paying attention to. These things increase your desire to act.
How do you want to show up for the world? How do you want to right a wrong? Sagittarians are at their best when in action and your growing discontent may be connected to past ambivalence. How will you make the world a more just, more balanced place through what you do?
Capricorn-The Tower Pleasure is not the same as goodness. Goodness is not the same as pleasure, this is an important distinction that is often lost in our modern world, but it was not in the ancient one. Many people fear the tower, but when it appears in my own readings, I feel a sigh of relief.
Tower’s appearance tells me that I am due to work hard for something that is ultimately good in my life. Tower also usually means that something I have been unable to stop, or was blind to, or delusional about will finally come to an end. You know that the easy way is rarely the right way and Tower is asking you, “What do you need to tear down so that you can rebuild something healthier?”
Aquarius- The Devil
Pleasure is not the same as goodness. Goodness is not the same as pleasure. The Devil is first and foremost the Lord of Temptation. The Devil can only tempt and destroy us if we let him in.
This month, be mindful about the ways you are tempted to do something that goes against what is good for you. Over-indulging, actions that are not in alignment with your moral code, seeking pleasure and ignoring goodness, looking for the easy way-all of these things come to a heightened fever pitch this month. There are tests for you to pass this month.
Pisces- The Fool Pisces are the kings of rumination. Constantly swirling and circling over the things that have been done either for or to us, we chew on memories like a dog chews an old bone. The Fool is a complete 180 from that kind of thing.
Pisces, you are asked to swim in a straight line for a while; to seek out new waters, and to let go the irredeemable past. Moving into dark chasms or bright streams are fine as long as it is new and as long as you are in a place of experiencing rather than thinking. Do you remember moments where you were unselfconscious? Was it a long time since you felt that way? The Fool is asking you to cultivate more moments of this. Try new things and do them without fear.
Aries- 10/Cups In what ways can you work to improve your family relationships this month? In what ways will you be the peaceworker, the intermediary, the one who binds the rest? You are being asked to put aside whatever grudges you might (rightfully) feel and work to bring the ones you love closer to one another. We can only do that if we share intimacy with others. Sometimes it is hard when it is with people you’ve known a long time.
Knowing someone a long time might mean that you have stopped hearing that person because you just repeat the story you have about them. This month I am asking you to stop repeating the story you place on those you love and offer the true gift of your intimacy. Listen to the new stories they have to offer you.
Taurus-2/Wands We’ve only two more months before 2017 draws to a close. Every year seems to swing by so fast but when we stack them: 5, 10, and 15 years actually feel so long ago. It is so easy to let the years pass by and not complete an item on your bucket list, let another year pass where you do not go back to school, or one more year in a dead relationship.
This month, Taurus, you are being asked to see these years for what they are: fleeting moments that we can never ever get back. This month, make a plan (you know the one you always think about) and actually follow it. Take advantage of whatever it is you have been avoiding all year long and make it real.
Gemini- The Hierophant Go back to your roots. See out your traditions. Find the places where your ancestors left trails of meaning and walk them. Listen to the storylines of your ancestors as this month of Thanksgiving brings forth family traditions. Revel in your past and celebrate your beginnings. Perhaps there is an elderly member of your family you need to talk to. Perhaps you need to teach your children a tradition that has fallen out of use. Make your Grandmother’s pie, build using your Grandfather’s tools. Reach back through the decades and feel the weight of history that brought you here, and give thanks.
Cancer- 4/Swords Whatever ax you have been grinding on; give it a rest. Some fights are not worth the effort even though you are right. Some battles even if won will not give you what you peace.
This month is asking you to lay off a bit and make your journey an inward one. Seek solitude, and introspection. Learn meditation as this month asks for you to begin slowing your flow to something slower and very quiet. Don’t run, walk. Don’t yell, whisper. Don’t buy, save. Prepare for winter in by bringing your heart rate down and just breathing.
Leo- King of Swords
Your focus could be on point right now. Feeling like all cylinders are firing you find yourself contributing to both work and home with the gift of your intellect. Do not mire yourself in emotions or useless drama because what is needed is your objectivity right now.
If you are a writer, this is an especially auspicious time for you for this King governs communications (and November is Nano Wrimo!). Besides writing, this King speaks objectivity and fairly, perhaps you will settle an inter-family dispute, or you could craft an amazing solution to a work problem. The flows here are for your brain and your voice, use them wisely and to the benefit of everyone’s greatest good.
Virgos and Thanksgiving usually make a great match. The comforts of cooking and warming up the house as you host loved ones (or arrive with a bottle of wine to a place of loved ones) is usually near and dear to a virgoan heart.
This month delve into the splendor or your relationships. Perhaps you need to welcome an estranged friend home, or visit the home of a complicated relationship yourself. For me, this card speaks so much to the energy of Homecoming. Spend time with your tribe, or work to build one that nourishes you. Now is the time to be beckoned by the smell of pies cooling and the sounds of corks popping. How do you need to go home?
There is chaotic energy to the air that only you can settle. You might find yourself running from one urgent matter to another, always in the nick of time you fix whatever was about to crumble and while this pace can be wearying the role for you as the peacemaker is to bring peace.
You are being asked to show up for others, to be flexible, to be daring, to be open to possibilities more than definiteness. You are being asked to dance. Which (whether physical, spiritual, or social) you do quite well, Libra. Be graceful and most of all, have fun in all this busyness!
